Really, Congressman?

At a pro-illegal immigration rally on Sunday, Representative Luis Grijalva said the following about Arizona's new law to uphold US immigration policy: "We're going to overturn this unjust and racist law, and then we're going to overturn the power structure that created this unjust, racist law."

Let's start with the law itself, namely what it is versus what people like Grijalva say it is. The law commands Arizona law enforcement to uphold Federal immigration law within the borders of the state of Arizona. That's all. It's not a racial profiling law. It's not a law that commands the violation of civil rights; in fact it specifically bans the practice of any unlawful forms of profiling.

Grijalva would have you believe the Arizona state government will be setting up internment camps for Mexicans. He's a liar.

As if that isn't bad enough to pit American against each other along racial lines, Grijalva said that more is necessary than just overturning the law. He calls for the overturning of the state's constitutional order. That's the "power structure" he's talking about. A sitting member of the US House of Representatives is advocating insurrection against the sovereign state government of Arizona. Is this behavior we're willing to tolerate from an American congressman?

Do you really believe, Congressman, that the constitutional order needs to be overturned?

Really?

A Must Read!!!!

Sorry Barry, but Boxer Doesn't Represent Me

Yesterday during a typically pathetic, disingenuous Obama campaign rally, The One said that Barbara Boxer has a "deep passion" for "fighting for all of her constituents." Really? Not so much.

Add this to another on a long list of Barack Obama lies. It's beyond offensive. Barbara Boxer doesn't represent me. Sure, she's one of my two senators but that doesn't means she represents me. Boxer stands for taxpayer funded abortion on demand, homosexual marriage, separation of church and state, activist judges, amnesty, ObamaCare, cap and trade, oppressive taxation and debt, and so on and so forth. In my decade of living in California I can't think of one thing Barbara Boxer has represented me on.

Barbara Boxer represents Barbara Boxer and the 10% left-wing fringe that has taken over our government led by fringe leader-in-chief Barack Obama. She stands for everything that is destroying our great nation. It's time to send her off to her undeserved taxpayer-funded retirement.

Sorry Barry but you're wrong yet again. Neither of you represent me or the overwhelming majority of the American people.

Fidelity to Truth: Tax Credits are Not Tax Cuts

Politicians shamelessly abuse the English language in an effort to confuse and mislead the American people. In no area is this more prevalent than in matters of taxation. There are two related areas I'd like to focus on right now: first, tax cuts are not spending; second, tax credits are not tax cuts. We're told ad nauseum that tax cuts have to be paid for, and that tax credits are the same as tax cuts. Both are lies.

First, a reduction in the rates of income tax paid by the American people requires absolutely no spending by the federal government. What they mean when they say this is, "We have less money to spend on all of the stuff in the budget, and who is going to pay for that?" It is reflective of the fiscal irresponsibility that has plagued us for decades. It is also a deliberate attempt to confuse the American people into thinking that income tax rate reductions are a line item in the bloated budget that requires financing.

Let's do a simple math exercise with round numbers. If you had taxable income of $100,000.00 in 2009 and a tax rate of 30% you'd owe $30,000.00. If we reduced that rate to 20%, you'd owe $20,000.00. This has created a revenue shortfall for the government of $10,000.00 that has to be "paid for" somehow, someway, because the bloated budget doesn't get reduced by a corresponding $10,000.00. Of course, any person who had to adjust their budget would reduce spending to cover the difference, but that nugget of wisdom never seems to occur to those stealing our future (aka Congress and Obama).

Next, tax credits are not tax cuts. Tax credits ARE actually spending!!!! Tax credits are a form of socialist wealth redistribution masked as tax cuts. These are checks cut from the Treasury (spending!) that do, in fact, have to be paid for, usually in the form of tax rate increases on the evil "rich". Where does that $400.00 check come from, if not from your neighbor? When Obama says that we should lick his boots and thank him for reducing taxes, what he really means is that he has raided the Treasury to give us a crappy $400.00 check, furthering his goal of wholesale wealth redistribution.

There is no moral or practical equivalence to tax credits and tax cuts. Tax credits are socialist welfare policy, and tax cuts are reductions in how much income tax responsibility we have. Tax credits, bad. Tax cuts, good. Spending cuts, better!

An Appeal to Jewish Americans

We are staring at the next attempted extermination of the Jewish people. We shouldn't be surprised. Anti-Semitism is called the old hatred, and everything old is new again, right? The thugs who lead Iran are very clear about their intentions once they acquire nuclear weapons. They intend to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. The Muslim Hitler, Ahmadinejad, says it all the time. Should we not believe the bearded one and his friends? Shouldn't we err on the side of caution? Did the Holocaust teach us nothing? Did the ashes of humanity teach us nothing?

We are Americans, first last and always, but we are also the Chosen People of the Torah. We have an obligation as Americans to defend liberty and fight evil, and as Jews we have an equal obligation to serve as a vanguard of defense against the genocide of our people. As Americans, then, we are uniquely equipped to speak and act in defense of our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel. We have the First Amendment to our beloved Constitution. We must have the courage to speak the truth. We must ask, without the slightest hesitation, why is Barack Obama purposefully engineering conflict with the Jewish state at a crucial time?

The dust-up over Jerusalem should've been a nothing incident, for no Jewish leader would agree to halting construction in the Jewish capital of Jerusalem. But Obama (he of the Black Liberation Theology church for over 20 years) has used Jerusalem to bully Benjamin Netanyahu. Anyone who knows anything about Netanyahu, a man who served honorably as an elite IDF commando, knows he is the least of all people to capitulate to such aggressive nonsense. That's why it's so obvious Obama is hoping to unseat Netanyahu as Prime Minister of Israel. That is the ugly truth beneath the duplicitous actions of President Obama. Netanyahu is a Jewish warrior in the mold of Judah Maccabee. Benjamin Netanyahu is unapologetic in his defense of the state of Israel. As it is, Obama must leverage American power to force him out of office and get a pliable left-winger like Tzipi Livni in the office of Prime Minister, the better to do Obama's bidding in the "peace process". So we're treated to the horrific spectacle of an American president meddling in the political affairs of our closest ally, just as Bill Clinton did. Why are Jewish Americans silent, then as now, especially with so much at stake?

Jewish Americans have an even higher obligation to exercise our First Amendment rights when it comes to our Israeli brothers and sisters. Jewish Americans sat quietly while Hitler was perpetrating genocide against our people so as not to invite questions about their loyalty. From the ashes of six million of our fellow Jews the entire civilized world made a promise to each other: never again.

What does "never again" mean if not an unrelenting commitment to speak and act in defense of our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel? Surely it cannot mean that we place partisan, Democrat party collectivist politics ahead of our moral and religious obligations, can it? Surely it cannot mean we allow a president who believes in Black Liberation Theology to carry the day while homicidal maniacs in Iran rush to complete the Final Solution, can it? Does it mean we are to yet again remain quiet in the face of the eradication of the Jewish people in our homeland, the homeland of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

The barbarians are at the gate. Again. And this time they will have nuclear weapons at their disposal if we remain quiet even one day longer. If history has taught us anything it is that the survival of the Jewish people depends solely on the Jewish people. We are alone in a dangerous world steeped in the hatred of our people.

There is a stark and urgent choice to be made, a choice between civilized people and those who acquiesce in the face of evil. Every single one of us must embrace our responsibility to shine the light of truth on the darkness of anti-Semitism, before it is too late. Every single one of us must find our voice to speak in defense of our people, the Jewish people. We must demand our president end his acts of aggression toward the Jewish state and her people, and we must demand he take military action to end the genocidal dreams of the Iranian leaders. We must take to our shuls and demand that our Rabbis speak the truth about the gathering danger we face. It is our most solemn obligation and God demands nothing less of us as his Chosen People.

If we can't even do that as Jewish Americans, did we really mean it all the times we've said, "never again?"
